How to detect the V-belt malfunction

Then inspect the belt for external faults and check the extent of its tensioning. When pressed, its maximum allowable deflection should be 5 mm. The surface of the component should not have any defects, or traces of fuel or lubricant. If the component has stains of oil, it should be replaced, and the oil seals are to be inspected.
