You will need a tester to check the part performance. You should switch it into resistance mode, and then connect the gauge probes to the antenna center wire lead and to the ground. If the wiring is faultless and there is no short circuit, the tester should not respond to the actions performed.
Then check the wire integrity from the antenna to the receiver. For this, connect one probe to the central wire lead of the car antenna, and the second one to the plug that is inserted into the receiver. If the component is working properly, the tester must show a minimum resistance.
